Autumn Treats
The weather is getting colder and autumn is here! This season get cosy and cook up lots of delicious goodies to enjoy snuggled up on the sofa.
This is a selection of seasonal recipes that are perfect to cook/bake on a cosy fall day.
Gluten Free Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is a classic Italian dish that is loved by many and for good reason! It’s so comforting and delicious while also being extremely cheap and easy to make. It is often thought of as a “poor man’s pasta” due to quite how cheap it is to make. You can eat it as is, but I really like to top it with a pan gratin which is flavoured toasted breadcrumbs.
Gluten Free Pumpkin Brûlée Tarts
This recipe is a different take on the classic American pumpkin pie. They are little tartlets that are filled with pumpkin that is sweetened and spiced using the classic pumpkin spice and then it is topped with a crunchy caramel similar to that of a Crème Brûlée. I always love the combination of rich caramelised flavours with warm spices, especially in the autumn winter months.
Gluten Free Egg Fried Rice
Egg fried rice is a delicious and iconic dish. It is so quick to make and is a great way to use up leftover rice. This gluten free egg fried rice recipe is in my regular rotation of weeknight dinners as it is just so delicious! It is also perfect for a lazy Sunday as it can be whipped up in just 10 minutes. I crave this dish and make it at least every fortnight.
The Best Gluten Free Apple Crumble
Who doesn’t love a nice warm apple crumble with cream on a cold autumn night? This recipe makes the best gluten free apple crumble with a spiced apple filling and a buttery crumble topping. Apple crumble is so easy and simple to make, and it is so so yummy. It is the perfect thing to bake for dessert after a Sunday roast!
Gluten Free Garlic Chill Beef
This recipe is one of my favourites and is a go to for a weeknight meal as it can be whipped up in as little as 20 minutes. This Chinese chilli beef recipe is so easy and makes the most delicious dinner. It’s got a sticky sauce that is full of flavour with delicious crispy beef bits. If you like crispy chilli beef from the Chinese takeaway, then you will definitely love this!
Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls
This recipe makes 12-15 delicious gluten free cinnamon buns with a sweet vanilla glaze. These are the perfect autumn recipe to make on a rainy day. These are great as a wee breakfast treat. As good gluten free doughs go, this one is pretty simple and has a delicious texture when baked. My partner (a gluten-eater) absolutely loves these! They are one of his favourites of my bakes and he even says, “you wouldn’t even know their gluten free!”. These are the absolute best gluten free cinnamon rolls, and you need to make them!
Red Pepper Sauce, Spicy Sausage and Crispy Potatoes
This recipe makes a great weeknight meal that the whole family will love. The potatoes are so crispy and require minimal effort, I mean you don’t even peel or chop them! The sauce is delicious and can be made in advance to cut down on effort and time, and it can also be used for many other dishes.
