FAQs

Question: My apple mixture is watery and not thick, is this normal?

  • Your apple mixture should be a bit watery before it has been topped and baked. When the crumble is baked some of the water will evaporate and absorb. If your apple mixture isn’t a bit juicy before you bake it your crumble will be very very dry!

Question: How long will this last and how should I store it?

  • You should keep any leftovers in the fridge, and it will last for around 4 days. When you have some heat up just the portions being eaten before.

Question: The crumble mixture is very dry, should I add water?

  • The crumble mixture should be a bit dry. It should look like this when you mix it up. If it doesn’t look this way, I recommend adding a tsp extra butter rather than water.
